Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about Rana-AI Tech β€” our vendor-neutral AI courses, how to choose between ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Gemini, pricing, certificates, and training your team.

About Rana-AI Tech

What is Rana-AI Tech?

Rana-AI Tech is a boutique AI-training company that teaches small and mid-sized businesses how to use AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini through practical, hands-on, vendor-neutral courses. The training is built for non-technical office staff, managers, and executives β€” no coding or data-science background required.

What does "vendor-neutral" mean?

Vendor-neutral means we teach you to use whichever AI assistant fits the task β€” ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or Gemini β€” instead of locking you into one tool. We have no financial relationship with any AI provider, so the guidance is based on what actually works for your job, not on selling a particular platform.

Who are the courses for?

The courses are designed for everyday business people at companies with roughly 5–500 employees β€” office staff, managers, district managers, and executives. You do not need to be technical; the goal is confident, practical use of AI in real work.

Do I need any technical background or coding skills?

No β€” almost all of our courses are non-technical and require no coding. The one exception is a single advanced builder course (APIs and agents) that is clearly labeled for technical learners; everything else is written for general business users.

Choosing the right AI tool

What is the best AI tool for a small business?

There is no single "best" AI tool β€” the right choice depends on the apps you already use and the work you do (for example, Microsoft Copilot fits Microsoft 365 shops, while Gemini fits Google Workspace). Our course AI 102: Compare & Select the Right AI Platform walks you through choosing objectively for your situation.

ChatGPT vs Claude vs Copilot vs Gemini β€” which should my team learn?

For most teams the best starting point is the assistant built into the tools you already pay for β€” Copilot for Microsoft 365, Gemini for Google Workspace β€” with ChatGPT or Claude added for general-purpose work and writing. Because the core skills transfer between them, we teach the fundamentals first, then offer a hands-on deep-dive course for each platform.

Should we standardize on one AI tool or use several?

Most SMBs are best served by standardizing on one primary assistant for daily work (usually the one bundled with their existing software) while staying comfortable switching tools for specific strengths. Our training teaches transferable prompting and judgment so your team is not stranded if a tool or price changes.

How the training works

How are the courses structured?

Courses follow a simple ladder: 100-level foundations (what AI is, choosing a tool, prompting, using AI safely), 200-level per-vendor deep dives (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini), and 300-level advanced tracks (power-user techniques, builder/governance, and executive strategy), plus elective courses on AI and society. Each course uses the same hands-on stack: short readings, a practical activity, and a knowledge check.

Are the courses self-paced or live?

Both β€” every course is available self-paced on our learning platform, and we also run live online webinars and in-person or hybrid workshops. You can mix the two: learn the fundamentals on your own time and join a live session for hands-on practice and Q&A.

How long does a course take?

Most courses take a few hours of self-paced study and can be completed in one or two sittings. Each course page shows its module count and an estimated time so you can plan.

Do I earn a certificate?

Yes β€” you earn a Rana-AI Tech Certificate of Completion, along with digital badges and tracked competencies for each course. Badges and certificates use the Open Badges standard and can be added to your LinkedIn profile in one click.

What are badges, competencies, and ranks?

Badges are verifiable credentials you earn by completing a course; competencies are the specific skills you demonstrate along the way; and ranks are milestone achievements for completing whole learning paths. Together they make your progress visible and shareable β€” see the full picture on our badges & certifications and competency framework pages.

What score do I need to pass?

You need at least 60% on a section's knowledge-check quiz to demonstrate that competency and earn credit toward the course badge. The bar is set to confirm you have genuinely grasped the material β€” not just clicked through it β€” and you can revisit a section and retake its check if you fall short.

Pricing & enrollment

How much do the courses cost?

Courses are individually priced, with discounted bundles for full learning paths, and AI 101 is free to start. Current pricing is shown on each course page, with secure checkout by Stripe & PayPal β€” you're enrolled the moment your payment completes.

Is there a free course?

Yes β€” AI 101: Novice Guide to AI is free, so you can experience the format and build genuine confidence before paying for anything.

How do I enroll?

Create a free account, confirm your email, and self-enroll in any course from its course page. You can also build a custom bundle of courses with our Build Your Own Path tool.

Can I preview a course before I buy?

Yes β€” the best preview is AI 101: Novice Guide to AI, which is completely free, so you can experience the exact hands-on format β€” readings, a practical activity, and a knowledge check β€” before paying for anything. Every course also has a detailed course page showing its modules, the competencies and badges you will earn, and the time it takes, so you know precisely what you are getting first.

For businesses & teams

Can you train my whole team or run on-site training?

Yes β€” we deliver team training online, in person, and hybrid, including tailored cohorts for a company's specific tools and roles. It is a natural fit for getting a whole department productive with AI quickly and consistently.

Do you offer custom or corporate training?

Yes β€” we work with businesses (and through channel partners) to scope role-specific AI training for teams, from front-line staff to executives. Reach out at info@ranaaitech.com to discuss a program.

How do I figure out where my team should start?

Start with our free AI Readiness Assessment β€” a short quiz that recommends the right course or path for your situation. From there, AI 101 and AI 102 give any team a confident, vendor-neutral foundation.

Hiring & verifying credentials

Can I hire people who have completed Rana-AI Tech training?

Yes β€” Rana-AI Tech runs a competency-gated job board where you can reach candidates who have provably earned AI skills. On the Rana Jobs board you post a role and specify the exact competencies, badges, and certifications it requires, and only candidates who have verifiably earned every one of them can apply β€” so you receive a pre-screened shortlist of people who have already demonstrated the skills you need. Learn more on our For Employers page.

How do I verify a badge or certificate a candidate shows me?

Every Rana-AI Tech credential is a verifiable Open Badge, so you can confirm it independently at https://lms.ranaaitech.com/verify β€” paste the badge or certificate and you will see whether it is genuine, who earned it, and exactly which skills it attests. Because Open Badges are an open, tamper-evident standard, you do not have to take our word for it: you check the evidence directly.

Can my company post a job for Rana-certified candidates?

Yes β€” posting a role on the Rana Jobs board is free. Use the post-a-job form to describe the position, the pay, and the competencies, badges, and certifications it requires. Only candidates who have provably earned those credentials can apply, so the board effectively runs your first round of screening for you. See our For Employers page for the full picture.

Are Rana-AI Tech badges and certificates accredited or recognized?

Rana-AI Tech credentials are verifiable Open Badges issued by Rana-AI Tech β€” not a government, university, or industry-board accreditation, and we are transparent about that. Their value comes from two things you can check yourself: every credential is independently verifiable at https://lms.ranaaitech.com/verify, and it is earned through hands-on, assessed coursework against a published grading rubric. Recognition is growing as employers and partners see what the credential actually proves, but it rests on verifiable evidence rather than a brand you are asked to trust.

Do badges or certificates expire?

Rana-AI Tech credentials are date-stamped when earned so anyone verifying them can see how current they are. Because AI tools change quickly, we treat currency seriously: credentials carry their issue date, and platform-specific ones (for Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini) may be refreshed or re-earned as the tools evolve, so your credential reflects today's capabilities rather than last year's.

Trust, safety & accuracy

How do you keep the content accurate as AI changes so fast?

We regularly re-verify our material against fast-moving vendor facts β€” model names, capabilities, and prices β€” and date-stamp content for review. AI changes weekly, so keeping courses current is a core part of how we work.

How do you handle AI safety and data privacy?

Responsible, safe use is built into the curriculum β€” our course AI 104: Using AI Safely covers privacy, protecting company data, spotting misinformation and AI "hallucinations," and following compliant habits. We teach teams to get value from AI without exposing sensitive information.
